David Lissauer leads Hall Chadwick Melbourne’s Audit & Assurance practice and his specialties include audit, assurance, taxation and accounting services engagements covering smaller family businesses to larger commercial operations and government clients. With an interest in the not-for-profit sector, David has extensive experience undertaking internal control implementation and reviews to move organisations towards operational best practice.
He’s an integral part of the Hall Chadwick Melbourne International team and has spent the last few years building new business relationships in India and Vietnam. David is a founding Director of VADC P/L – Vietnam Australia Development Corporation. He is passionate to realise and foster business relationships in and between Vietnam and Australia.
David represents Hall Chadwick Melbourne on the Hall Chadwick Association National Board. The Firm is recognised by the Victorian Auditor- Generals office to undertake work. David is liaising Partner with the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University, is a Fellow of the CPA, an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, and a registered company auditor, as well as a Registered Superannuation Fund Auditor. In addition David is a registered tax agent, a foundation Peer Reviewer for CPA Australia and a member of CPA’s Quality Review Assurance Committee (QRAC). David also undertakes SOX compliance work throughout Australasia. David continues to develop business relationships with the Indian and Sri Lankan business communities, as well as the Vietnamese community.
As an active leader in the community, David Lissauer is a past Chairman and current Treasurer of the MHC Inc; Past Treasurer and Board Member of Hadassah Australia Inc; and a past Honorary auditor for Alopecia Support Association. David undertakes internal Audit assignments for Oxfam Australia as required, as well as Peer Review work for Oxfam international. David currently advises C-Care, a volunteer-driven organization which seeks to improve the lives of individuals living in isolation and need. David is a past board member of Channel 31 Community Television.
